In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July, 2020, the life of 27-year-old Jatavion Alexander, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Hugo, Oklahoma. At approximately 2:20 a.m., the Hugo Police Department received a call reporting shots fired in the 800 block of South H Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Alexander in the front seat of his vehicle, having sustained a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
