In the small city of Hugo, Oklahoma, a grim discovery was made on December 11, 2015. Jamie Devon Robinson, a 28-year-old male, was found dead in his home located at 301 S. 6th Street. A friend of Robinson's made the heartbreaking discovery, finding him the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The Hugo Police Department was called to the scene and soon requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to delve into the circumstances surrounding the young man's death.
Investigators with the OSBI meticulously processed the crime scene and conducted numerous interviews, piecing together the events that led to the tragic end of Robinson's life. Their investigation revealed that Robinson had been murdered in the early morning hours of December 11, 2015, during the course of a robbery at his residence. For nearly two and a half years, the case remained under investigation as authorities worked to identify those responsible for this violent act that had shaken the community.
In May of 2018, a significant breakthrough was made in the case. The OSBI announced the arrests of three individuals in connection with the robbery and murder of Jamie Devon Robinson. Javen Dejaune Krussell, then 23, of Oklahoma City, and Lonnie Lavon Ray Cole, then 25, of Hugo, were both charged with one count of Murder in the First Degree and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. At the time of their arrests in this case, both Krussell and Cole were already incarcerated in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for unrelated crimes. A third suspect, Alexia Sharelle Tims, then 24, of Oklahoma City, was also taken into custody. She was arrested on May 16, 2018, by the Oklahoma City Police Department's Gang Enforcement Unit and charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
