Sean A Avery

On July 24, 2011, Sean A. Avery, a 22-year-old man from Chicago, was shot and killed in an incident that took place in the Avalon Park neighborhood on the city’s South Side. Avery was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the 8200 block of South East End Avenue. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
