A creative and cherished soul, SheriLyne Michelle Pack Chambers was a 36-year-old female whose life was abruptly ended on May 29, 2021, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She and her husband, Kraig Guylan Chambers, were reported missing before their bodies were discovered. Both had been fatally shot. Their remains were found along a road near the town of Vera, located about half a mile apart from one another.
SheriLyne was a mother and a respected artist and professor.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly centered on a relative. Wesley 'Brock' Pavey, who was identified as Kraig Chambers' cousin, was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities stated that Pavey allegedly shot the couple inside their garage after a dispute. Following the shooting, he is said to have moved their bodies to the remote area where they were later found by law enforcement.
Friends and family remembered SheriLyne as a person full of life, known for her wit and artistic abilities. She had earned a master's degree and worked in marketing, communications, and graphic design, in addition to being a celebrated artist whose work was widely displayed. She also shared her knowledge and passion for the arts as a professor. Together with Kraig, she was raising a son, who was the center of her world. The unexpected and violent nature of their deaths sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many to grieve the loss of a vibrant and loving family.
