Marshaun Taylor, a 16-year-old resident of Chicago, was fatally shot on August 7, 2011, while on his way home from a block party. The incident occurred on the South Side of Chicago, in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood. Marshaun was reportedly walking when he was targeted and shot, and he succumbed to his injuries on the scene. His death was part of a violent weekend in the city, during which several other shootings were reported.
