In the summer of 2015, a violent encounter on a Milwaukee street forever altered the course of a young man's life. Johnathan Fontaine Dallas, a 28-year-old Black/African American male, was in the 2700 block of North 12th Street on the evening of July 9th when he was struck by a gunshot. The critical injury necessitated immediate medical intervention, and he was rushed to Froedtert Hospital to fight for his life. For two weeks, he clung to life, a testament to his will to survive.
