Herman Highshaw faced charges of felony murder, first-degree reckless homicide, and mutilating a corpse. Shundale Joshua was charged with felony murder and had several other open cases related to armed robbery and other crimes. The criminal complaints indicated that the suspects were either known members or associates of an armed robbery crew operating within Milwaukee.
