In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Milwaukee, the life of 18-year-old Verquell S. Bailey, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 27, 2016, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police were called to the 1900 block of West Meinecke Avenue. There, on the sidewalk, they found Bailey suffering from a gunshot wound.
