In the early morning hours of December 26, 2016, a day meant for holiday cheer, tragedy struck on the north side of Milwaukee. Tajah Williams, a 22-year-old Black / African American female, was discovered near 41st Street and Vienna Avenue around 2:10 a.m., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported her to a local hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
