In the quiet Village of Harrison, Wisconsin, the life of 38-year-old Sara Schmidt, a Caucasian female, came to a tragic end on January 9, 2018. What began as a domestic disturbance call to a home on Sweet Clover Drive in Calumet County swiftly escalated into a harrowing murder-suicide that left a community in shock and three children without their parents.
On that Tuesday evening, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they found Sara and her 49-year-old husband, Robert Schmidt, in the midst of a heated altercation. As a deputy approached, the situation took a devastating turn when gunshots rang out. Sara was discovered deceased in her vehicle, the victim of at least one gunshot wound.
