In the crisp autumn air of November 2, 2019, the life of 18-year-old Javier R. Ayers, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in La Crosse, Wisconsin. On that Saturday evening, at approximately 9:40 pm, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Copeland Avenue.
