On a cold November evening in 2019, the life of 31-year-old Black / African American male Sebastian Ford was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The events of November 15th unfolded from a domestic dispute that escalated into a fatal encounter, leaving one man dead and another wounded.

The incident began to unfold when a woman, the aunt of the suspect, asked her friends, including Sebastian Ford, to help her retrieve her children from her ex-boyfriend's residence. An argument reportedly broke out between the woman and her ex-boyfriend's nephew, Tourean Wofford. According to the woman's account, Wofford produced a firearm and opened fire on her friends as they were seated in a vehicle.

The gunfire struck Sebastian Ford, who was in the driver's seat, and another passenger. Despite being wounded, the surviving passenger managed to drive away from the scene, seeking safety. Ford, however, succumbed to his injuries. The Milwaukee Police Department was dispatched to the scene of the shooting where they found Ford unresponsive.

In the wake of the shooting, investigators identified Tourean Wofford as the primary suspect. A criminal complaint was filed against him, and he was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree reckless injury. The charges stemmed from the eyewitness testimony of the surviving victim and Wofford's aunt, who both identified him as the shooter. Wofford later pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.
