A pillar of his community, 58-year-old Connie E. Jackson, a Black/African American man, had spent over two decades as the proud owner of a Milwaukee bar. His establishment, Uncle Bo's Penthouse, located at 12th and Wright, was a familiar spot for many. In the early morning hours of January 29, 2021, after closing up for the night around 2 a.m., Jackson began his usual drive home, a routine journey that would tragically be his last.
