In the early hours of a Saturday in Milwaukee, the life of Maurice L. Owens, a 29-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short. On February 20, 2021, in the vicinity of 16th and Bruce Street, Owens was fatally shot. The Milwaukee Police Department reported that the shooting occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m.
