Jimmy Carlos Logan, 43, a Black man, was shot on a Wednesday evening near North 63rd Street and West Carmen Avenue in Milwaukee. Police said the gunfire erupted around 6:45 p.m. on March 10, 2021, and Logan was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening wounds. He died days later, on Saturday, March 13, from the injuries he suffered in the attack.
Detectives announced they were searching for suspects and appealed for tips from the community, but initial reports did not identify an
assailant. Public memorial listings later recorded Logan among those lost to gun violence in Milwaukee on the date of the shooting, while incident logs placed the crime at the 63rd and Carmen intersection on the city’s northwest side. There were no immediate arrests reported in the days following his death.
