On May 14, 2021, a young Black / African American man named DayShawn Sincere Davis, aged 18, was tragically killed in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The incident that led to his death began with a seemingly minor domestic dispute the day before. An argument over spilled water in an apartment on Kenosha's south side led to Darnell Ridgeway evicting his younger brother and their 17-year-old cousin from the home they shared.
