On May 13, 2022, 36-year-old Caucasian female Kelley Marks was found deceased in a residence in New Richmond, Wisconsin. The New Richmond Police Department was dispatched to the address at 1279 Pinewood Trail #9 around 1:00 p.m. after receiving a report of an odor coming from the home.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered the bodies of Kelley Marks and a 42-year-old male named Brandon McNamara. Both individuals had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and appeared to have been deceased for an unknown amount of time. Investigators from the Wisconsin State Crime Lab were called to assist with processing the scene.
The investigation into the deaths of Marks and McNamara led authorities to believe the two were in a relationship. Evidence found at the scene was consistent with a murder-suicide. The firearm believed to have been used in the incident was recovered at the residence. The New Richmond Police Department has stated that they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public in relation to this case. The investigation is considered ongoing, and authorities have asked anyone with information about either Marks or McNamara to contact them.
