In the summer of 2022, a weekend of violence in Milwaukee claimed the life of Realuare R. Stinson, a 36-year-old Black/African American woman. On the evening of Saturday, July 9th, Stinson was fatally shot. The incident was one of several shootings that occurred across the city between July 8th and July 10th, a period that saw a spike in gun violence resulting in multiple deaths and injuries.
