On the night of November 19, 2022, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 43-year-old Daryl G. Childress Jr., a father of five, was fatally shot. The shooting occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. while Childress was sitting in his car with a female friend outside the Gold Diggers gentleman's club in the 4700 block of N. 37th Street.
Surveillance footage from the scene captured the moments leading up to the tragic event. The video shows several men approaching Childress's vehicle before opening fire.
After the shooting, the same men were seen entering the bar. Childress succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
As of yet, no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide. Milwaukee police detectives have stated they are close to solving the case but are seeking assistance from the community. They have urged anyone with information regarding the identity of the men seen in the surveillance video to come forward. The family of Daryl Childress Jr. has also made public pleas for witnesses to provide any information that could lead to an arrest, expressing their ongoing pain and search for closure. A reward of $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
