In the early hours of New Year's Day 2015, a celebration in Renton, Washington, turned deadly, leaving two men dead, including 50-year-old White/Caucasian male, Curtis L. Swezey. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at a party in the May Valley area, where a confrontation escalated into a fatal shootout. The King County Medical Examiner's Office later ruled Swezey's death a homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
