In the warm evening air of August 13, 2015, a tragedy unfolded on the streets of Seattle that would cut short the life of a young man. Antonio Lamarr Jones, a 24-year-old Black / African American male, was out walking his dog, a black and tan shepherd mix, in his neighborhood. The familiar surroundings of the 2600 block of East Columbia Street turned into a scene of violence at approximately 7:30 p.m. when the sound of gunshots pierced the quiet evening.
Neighbors, startled by the sudden eruption of gunfire, promptly called 911 to report the shooting.
