In the winter of 2016, the life of a 47-year-old Black / African American woman, Anna M. Hargett, was brought to an abrupt and violent end in Yakima, Washington. On the evening of January 22nd, a dispute escalated into a fatal confrontation outside her residence near the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue. The argument, which reportedly stemmed from a drug-related issue, culminated in a single gunshot.
