Andrea Ann Jasso Alcazar, a 47-year-old woman from Yakima, Washington, tragically lost her life on September 28, 2024, in a domestic violence incident that resulted in a fatal shootout. The incident occurred near Cowiche Canyon, specifically in the area of Prospect Way and North 66th Avenue.
According to reports, the Yakima Police Department responded to calls of gunshots at approximately 10:15 a.m. on that Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found two individuals involved in the incident.

The other individual involved in the incident was identified as 43-year-old Dominique Mitchell, who was found dead near the front porch of a home at the scene. Both Jasso Alcazar and Mitchell were armed during the confrontation.

She allegedly exited her vehicle carrying a firearm and initiated the encounter by firing several shots at Mitchell. In response, Mitchell also fired shots, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between the two.
