On a late Saturday night in Tacoma, Washington, on September 3, 2016, a dispute in the Hilltop neighborhood ended in the tragic death of 41-year-old Hyson Sabb, a Black/African American male. Police responded to calls of shots fired in the 1500 block of South L Street around 10 p.m. and discovered Sabb wounded in a yard. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
