On a late summer afternoon in Bremerton, Washington, a confrontation on Naval Avenue turned deadly for 24-year-old Devon M. Gipson, a male resident of the city. On August 31, 2019, Gipson was involved in an altercation that resulted in him being fatally shot. The incident, which took place in the 1600 block of the busy thoroughfare, quickly drew the attention of the Bremerton Police Department.
