On October 3, 1910, in London, Kentucky, 22-year-old Constable Henry Lee was fatally shot by a private watchman seeking revenge for a prior incident involving his family. Two months earlier, Constable Lee had attempted to serve a felony warrant at the watchman's father's residence. During this attempt, the father and brother obstructed Lee, allowing the suspect to escape.
