In the small community of Allen, Kentucky, the autumn of 1981 was shattered by a violent and tragic event that would leave a lasting scar. On October 16th, Jarvey Hamilton, a 27-year-old man, was at the Mountain Auto-Truck Parts Store when his life was cut short in a hail of gunfire. The perpetrator was 70-year-old William 'Okie' Bevins, a retired coal miner who entered the establishment with an automatic rifle and opened fire, forever altering the lives of many.
