In the summer of 2014, the life of 28-year-old Arlan D'Airre White Jr. was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the first of July, White was found murdered at 1912 W Madison Street, a victim of gun violence. He was a Black/African American male. His passing left a void in the lives of his family, which included his two children, Arlan D'Airre White Jr.
and Cameron D'Airre Wade, his parents, Sophia and Clifford Wright, a sister, and a brother.
The investigation into Arlan's death has, for years, been met with a frustrating lack of progress. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with his murder, and the case officially remains unsolved. Authorities have not publicly released any specific descriptions or names of any suspects who may have been involved in the shooting.
The absence of resolution has been a continuing source of sorrow and frustration for his loved ones and the wider community. His family held funeral services at G. C. Williams Funeral Home, followed by his burial in Green Meadows Cemetery. More than a decade later, the community still awaits any new information that might bring those responsible for Arlan D'Airre White Jr.'s death to justice.
