In the autumn of 2014, a life was tragically cut short in a north side Lexington apartment complex. On the morning of October 17th, police received calls reporting gunfire and a person down, bleeding. Arriving at the McCullough Drive apartments, they discovered the body of 19-year-old Jeffrey Adams in a second-floor hallway. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
