Johnny Howell, aged 19, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on August 26, 2012, in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood. The incident occurred on the 600 block of East 67th Street, where Howell was gunned down on the sidewalk. He was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Howell's death was one among many similar incidents in Chicago that year, contributing to the escalating homicide statistics during 2012.
