In the small community of Garfield, Kentucky, a fatal encounter unfolded on the afternoon of March 24, 2016, claiming the life of 34-year-old Johnny Ray Thompson. The violent dispute, which also resulted in the death of Branden Williams, took place at an abandoned gas station on Highway 60. Thompson, a white male from Irvington, Kentucky, was fatally shot during the altercation.
