In the summer of 2016, a grim discovery was made in Montgomery County, Kentucky, when the body of 33-year-old Devin J. Payton of Georgetown was found by a fisherman under the Slate Creek Bridge. The investigation into his death quickly led law enforcement to a cabin in neighboring Wolfe County, where the tragic events reportedly unfolded. It was at this cabin off Ky. 11 that Payton was shot after being involved in a fight.
