In the summer of 2017, the life of 33-year-old Justin T. Hague was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On a July day, Hague was in a vehicle with another man, 20-year-old Martice McRae. The vehicle they were in had been reported as stolen by McRae.
The situation inside the car took a fatal turn when McRae produced a handgun and shot Hague. After the shooting, Hague was pushed from the vehicle in the Newburg neighborhood. He was found on July 25, 2017, a victim of the shooting.
His death was investigated by the Metro Police as a homicide. He was officially pronounced dead on July 26, 2017.
Months later, in December of the same year, an arrest was made in connection with the killing. Martice McRae was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder for the death of Justin Hague. The investigation by the police pointed to McRae as the individual responsible for the events that led to Hague's untimely death. Hague was a member of the Eastern Parkway Baptist Church and was remembered by his family and friends.
