In the early evening of April 26, 2018, the life of 24-year-old Glenn Browning was tragically cut short in the Shawnee neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Police were called to an alley near South 39th Street and Broadway just before 6 p.m. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Browning, a male, inside a vehicle, having sustained a single gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the death of Glenn Browning led the Louisville Metro Police Department Homicide Unit to a suspect in early June of that year. Reginald Burns, who was 26 at the time, was arrested on June 7, 2018, in connection with the homicide. While not accused of being the shooter, investigators determined that Burns allegedly provided the 9mm handgun that was used to kill Browning.
Further investigation revealed that the firearm used in the killing had been reported stolen from a gun and rod shop in Elizabethtown in December of the previous year. Burns was subsequently charged with complicity to murder and receiving a stolen firearm. His bond was set at $50,000. The identity of the individual who actually shot Glenn Browning has not been publicly released by the authorities.
