In the quiet town of Owensboro, Kentucky, the life of 35-year-old Robert Darian Smith Jr. was tragically cut short on Thursday, January 17, 2019. A Black male, Smith was at his residence when he became a victim of a brutal act of gun violence that shook the community. The incident, a quadruple shooting, resulted in the deaths of two other individuals, 18-year-old Christopher Carie and 43-year-old Jay Michael Sowders.
