In the quiet community of Greensburg, Kentucky, a tragedy unfolded on January 31, 2019, claiming the lives of three family members in what authorities would later describe as a murder-suicide. Carol Jean London, a 59-year-old female, was found deceased in her home on Bill Jones Road. Alongside her were her husband, 59-year-old James W. London, and their 40-year-old son, Jasper Dewayne London.
The Green County Sheriff's Office received a call and upon arriving at the residence, requested the assistance of the Kentucky State Police. Inside the home, law enforcement discovered the three family members, all of whom had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Green County Coroner pronounced all three dead at the scene.
As the investigation into the heartbreaking event began, Kentucky State Police announced that they were treating the case as a murder-suicide.
