In the summer of 2019, a violent act shattered the peace of a small Kentucky town. On the evening of July 6th, 44-year-old Adrien Smith was shot and killed in a city park near the floodwall in South Williamson. First responders arrived at the scene to find Smith, who was pronounced deceased by the Pike County Coroner's office. The male victim, identified as a resident of Cleveland, West Virginia, became the subject of a murder investigation led by the Kentucky State Police.
