In the evening hours of October 23, 2019, in Louisville, Kentucky, tragedy struck the life of 55-year-old Anthony K. Petty. Responding to a report of a shooting, Louisville Metro Police arrived at the 4200 block of Broadmoor Court, a neighborhood situated off Newburg Road. There, they discovered Mr. Petty, a Black/African American male, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
