In the late summer of 2020, a tragedy unfolded in the small community of Leburn, Kentucky, forever altering the lives of one family. On the evening of August 29th, the quiet of Possum Trot Road was shattered by the arrival of Kentucky State Police, who were responding to a 911 call reporting a woman with gunshot wounds. Inside a residence, they found 49-year-old Tessa Rene Slone, a White/Caucasian female, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
