In the late hours of a Tuesday evening in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of Richard Susewell, a 40-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On September 1, 2020, at approximately 10 p.m., officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department were dispatched to a Marathon gas station located at the corner of South Shelby Street and East Burnett Avenue in the Merriwether neighborhood. There, they found Mr. Susewell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
