In the early morning hours of a Sunday in January 2021, tragedy struck outside a Louisville nightclub, leaving two families heartbroken and a community searching for answers. Among the victims was Robert Webb Jr., a 26-year-old male, whose life was cut short by gunfire in the Parkland neighborhood. The incident, which also claimed the life of 29-year-old Juan Foster, unfolded around 3 a.m.
on January 10th, outside of Cole's Place on West Kentucky Street.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to a chaotic and grim situation. One of the men was found with a fatal gunshot wound and was rushed to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other victim was initially taken to Norton Hospital by a private vehicle before being transferred to University of Louisville Hospital, where he also succumbed to his injuries. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later publicly identified the two men who had lost their lives.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the Louisville Metro Police Department appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the individuals responsible for this senseless act of violence. At the time, law enforcement officials stated that they had not identified any suspects in the double homicide. Despite the passage of time, publicly available information and news reports have not indicated that any arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of Robert Webb Jr. and Juan Foster. The case remains a painful and unresolved chapter for their loved ones and the wider Louisville community, a stark reminder of the devastating impact of gun violence.
