In the spring of 2021, on the evening of Sunday, April 18th, the life of 28-year-old DeVante Bell was cut short in Lexington, Kentucky. Bell, a young father, was shot while inside his vehicle in the 1000 block of Pennebaker Drive. Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 7:09 p.m. and found Bell injured. He was quickly transported to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries. His death was ruled a homicide, marking the city's 15th homicide of th ...
