In the late spring of 2022, a grim discovery was made on the side of Pitts Point Road in a rural area of Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Twenty-seven-year-old Kristin Longaker, a female from Louisville, was found with a gunshot wound alongside another woman. The incident, which occurred on May 30, 2022, left the second woman, 25-year-old Katelyn Rayman, dead at the scene. Longaker was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition.
