In the early morning hours of September 18, 2022, a sense of unease settled over the Algonquin neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. It was on this day that 26-year-old Antwuan Dejaun Hill, a Black male, found his life tragically cut short. Reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway prompted a response from the Louisville Metro Police Department's Second Division at approximately 9:20 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Hill suffering from a gunshot wound.
