In the Shawnee neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a promising young life was cut short on the afternoon of December 6, 2022. Draven J. Daniel, a 16-year-old male, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in an alleyway near the intersection of River Park Drive and 39th Street. The call came in around 2:30 PM, and upon their arrival, law enforcement pronounced the teenager dead at the scene. Draven was a sophomore at Pleasure Ridge Park High School where he was an honor roll student.
He had recently achieved a milestone many teenagers dream of, purchasing his first car, a Mustang. His family remembered him as a young man who was full of excitement for the future.
The investigation into the senseless killing of Draven J. Daniel unfolded over the following months.
