In the early hours of March 28, 2009, in the small city of Big Lake, Minnesota, a violent encounter irrevocably altered the lives of a family. Savang Sath, a 27-year-old Asian man, was shot and killed in a tragic incident that concluded with the suicide of the sole suspect. The man identified as the perpetrator was Peter Tek, the boyfriend of Savang's mother.
Authorities reported that Tek shot Savang Sath twice, ending his life.
