In the cold of a Minneapolis winter, the tragic story of Darnell Lavary Wilkes, a 23-year-old Black male, came to a sorrowful end. On the afternoon of January 26, 2016, a call was made to the Minneapolis Police Department about a person sleeping inside a car on the 1000 block of Sheridan Avenue North.
