On a tragic Friday evening, February 16, 2018, the life of 49-year-old Lori Moore, a White/Caucasian female from rural Mapleton, Minnesota, was cut short in an act of domestic violence. Her death, which occurred at her home, was not the result of an accident or natural causes, but a deliberate act that also claimed the life of her husband.
The events of that night unfolded after the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office received a report of a domestic altercation.
While deputies were en route to the Moore residence, a chilling call came into dispatch. It was Lori's husband, 57-year-old Timothy Moore. In his call, he admitted to having just shot and killed his wife. He then declared his intention to take his own life.
Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a grim tableau. Both Lori and Timothy Moore were found deceased inside their home.
