Kenneth Hayes Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Saint Paul, MN, was tragically shot and killed on the night of May 15, 2020. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of Jackson Street, outside a multi-family home. Hayes was found lying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

was a member of the Carpenters Local Union and was enrolled in a four-year apprenticeship program at the Carpenters Training Institute in Saint Paul. He was described as a humble and gentle soul, a loving father, and a dedicated worker. Hayes is survived by his girlfriend, who was pregnant with twins at the time of his death, and his three children.
As of now, the investigation into Hayes' death remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made. There is currently no suspect information available, and the police have not released any descriptions or names of potential suspects.
