On a summer evening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 3, 2020, the life of 18-year-old Mohamedwelid Mohamud Muse, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Just before 8 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the air at the intersection of 15th Avenue South and 24th Street East in the Phillips community. The city's ShotSpotter system registered the shots, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
